Offensive Warfare



Thus far we’ve looked at the ten steps to spiritual warfare and how they can be used defensively to protect those you love. Spiritual warfare can also be leveraged to push back the darkness and make a difference for the Kingdom! Here is how you can intentionally wage war in the spiritual to make a difference in your world:

1.See the Supernatural Behind the Natural - When you see the supernatural, you can do something about it. It’s hard to fight a battle that you cannot see.

2.Fight From a Position of Victory - You’ll be amazed at how many spiritual battles you will win when you realize just how victorious you already are in Jesus.

3.Saturate Yourself with Truth - When you’re saturated with truth it will come out of your pores. Your conversations will be filled with truth and love, and people will see Jesus.

4.Live Right - Seek justice and stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Live right and help others do the same. It will change their world, and yours.

5.Walk in the Spirit - The Spirit will guide your steps and let you know when to pray, when to speak, and when to act.

6.Actively Choose to Believe God - Be open with your faith in God. Your faith in God will inspire faith in others.

7.Surrender Daily - This keeps you humble and usable by God. God can’t fill you to overflowing if you’re already full of yourself.

8.Wield the Word of God - The Word is living and active. Know it, memorize it, speak it constantly. It will set people free.

9.Pray Continually - Never stop praying to God for other people. Pray throughout the day. Pray for miracles every day.

10.Fight Together - Lean into relationships. Build community. Constantly bring people into the safety of the herd.

2. Of the ten steps listed for making a difference in your spiritual world, which one would you say is your weakest? Where do you want to see the most improvement?

FEARFUL

" Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles " (Acts 2:43) Read: Acts 2:43 The word awe is defined as “fearful” and usually refers to the fear of the LORD in the Bible. Fear of the Lord doesn’t mean sheer terror. It’s having a healthy respect for God’s power, acknowledging his all-encompassing character and that he holds life and death in his hands. Worship

Text: Psalm 104.24-35 Psalm 104 starts and ends with the words, “Praise the Lord, my soul”. The beginning and the end are a proclamation of praise to the Almighty God. In fact, the whole psalm is a review of the greatness of God in creation and, therefore, a meditation on God’s providence. To consider such things, helps us to draw closer to God and worship Him. If we are sincere with ourselves, our daily situations (children, work, news, stress, etc.) can take our attention away from God. It is not easy to just plug-in and worship the Lord. I find myself missing so much of God’s creation, because my mind wanders off to my daily concerns. My wife calls me to really see the beauty around us, otherwise I would miss it. How easy it is for us to be carried away and not once lift our eyes to the Lord, and worship Him that created the earth.
